Using over 2012 roses we decorated this year’s Belgian ball at the Anglo Belgian Club, 8 Northumberland Street. Pastel coloured roses, aralia greenery and tillandsia adorned the twelve dining tables; white and peach avalanche roses graced the entrance to the ballroom; and a variety of rose shades brightened each corner of the dining area/dance floor. The feedback was fantastic, with many departing guests happily snatching bunches of roses to decorate their homes.
Our three course meal was not just a delight to the eyes but heaven for the taste buds. For example the slow cooked beef melted in the mouth like chocolate. With three contrasting wines served we were quite glad to tastesome sobering coffee so that we could climb into a home-bound taxi.
