Saturday, 23rd April 2011, was one of the hottest days of the year and what a brilliant day for a wedding! Well not quite – we spent the day photographing model brides for our new wedding portfolio. Our five models wore a fantastic selection of vintage dresses, on loan from Penny’s boutique; selected by us from her latest wedding collection, dating from the 1930′s – 40′s. All were off set of course by our stunning bouquets created by Ms Wow, Fernando and Pasi. Styling and makeup was by Sandra Hutton Miller . Our head camera man was Pasi, assisted by Fernando who put the models – Amanda, Brigitte, Chantel, Lucy, and Tiffany, at their ease, teasing out their smiles and making them laugh. Our beauty screen runner was Paul and the park event was filmed by Michael.
Take one: we set up our first shoot in the courtyard of Penny’s vintage shop on Amwell Street. The arbour swing, decorated with hydrangeas and eucalyptus branches, was became a romantic backdrop for our brides; in fact the hypnotic motion seemed to relax our stunning models.
Take two: a fleet of black cabs took us to Regent’s Park. Our driver thought he was in heaven with three brides perched at the back of his cab. The sun drenched park was packed with beach clad folk and so you can imagine the stir caused by our beauties striding across the regal lawns in heels, full makeup and perfectly couffiered hair. We filmed some images from the meadow garden, that created a countryside ambience, and a wild catwalk for our models. Chantel’s graceful starlet poses and Amanda’s pouting lips kept us entertained; whilst Brigitte looked naturally elegant in her 1940′s dress; becloaked Tiffany became the exotic princess; and Lucy posed with the sexy boa to great effect.
To round off the perfect day we shared a picnic amongst the shady pines, washed down with pink bubbly. We are very grateful to our models for putting up with the extensive shoot in such warm conditions and a big thanks to Sandra and Michael for giving up their time and energy they brought to the day.
