Anyone who has seen our work will know that we love to decorate for events. On Friday 1st April we had the chance to support a charity event hosted by ‘Succeed’ http://www.succeed-foundation.org/ a charitable organisation for people with eating disorders. It was held at the Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre.
Our brief was to decorate each guest table with the iconic images that represent the Succeed brand, i.e. birds, hearts and fruits. Candle chandeliers were used for the main decoration for each dining table. To represent the span of growth, from the Succeed logo, we wove ivy around each holder in such a way that the greenery looked like it it was in its own natural and relaxed setting; then we incorporated small novelty birds, apples, pears and hearts. The finished result with the encrusted white candle wax, the delicate white-green shade of the ivy and the hints of colour from the fruits helped to create an amazing table setting. Flor Unikon also sponsored the bright yellow goody bags that were placed at each table setting; each one contained a peat pot with a tomato seeds. We felt that the seed was an interesting metaphore as it represents new hope and inspiration to grow and transform.
For front of house we used yellow tulips, forsythia stems and leaves to decorate the reception table; and at the base of each pillar in the main hall we used bright yellow primulas to accent the white background.
Our client Matthew Parsons, from Meteor Events www.meteor-events.com who sponsored the evening’s proceedings was overjoyed by the results here are his very flattering comments: ” I wanted to thank you for the amazing job you did on Friday night. The venue looked stunning! Everyone commented on the flowers and the table designs and I was very sure to tell them that Flor Unikon was to thank! I really was very impressed with everything you did and how cooperative you were throughout the whole project! Please also thank your team who made the setup and clear down run so smoothly”.
What a great opportunity it was for us to support this very worthwhile cause.
